University of Missouri/Kansas City Law School   The Julian Klein Davidson Scholarship   Each year from a one million dollar endowment a student is chosen by the law faculty.  As long as grades are at least a B, the scholarship is renewed annually.

Project Eagle (The Children’s Campus Kansas City, Kansas)  This is a preschool operated by the University of Kansas and is a member of the Buffet Educare Network  I serves about 140 children from 6 months to 4 years from KCK families economically disadvantaged.  This preschool deals in opportunity!  Grant was $1,025,000.

Bethel Neighborhood Center, 7th and Central, Kansas City, KS.  The Barton P. and Mary D. Cohen Charitable this year gave $90,000 to pay salary and benefits for two employees to work full time at this wonderful center which serves old, young, and many ethnic groups living in the area with programming, clothing and food.

Kansas State Historical Society  $50,000 to assist in creating new exhibits to highlight various pieces of Kansas History.

Blue Valley School District Education Foundation – Over the last three years the Barton P. and Mary D. Cohen Charitable Trust has purchased a 3-D printer, a freezer that goes to 40 degrees below zero, a bank of aquatic tanks where separate experiments can be carried on (multi-temperature rack system and aquarius fish system, and just this year three polarizing microscopes
